  1. Meeting called to order at 6:40 pm by Vice Chairperson Hasan.

  1. ADOPTION OF AGENDA

    1. Motion to Amend Agenda to Include Dana Wycoff of Friends of the Library moved by Commissioner Hazel, carried unanimously.

    2. Motion to Amend Agenda to Include Andre Gould and Vandana Sareen, Update on Kenilworth Redevelopment, moved by Commissioner Douglas, carried unanimously.

    3. Motion to Adopt Agenda with Amendments moved by Commissioner Hasan, carried unanimously.

  1. PRESENTATIONS

    1. The Future of RFK Campus, Erik Moses, Senior Vice President Managing Director of Sports, Entertainment and Special Events for Events DC:

      1. Background provided of current RFK campus.

      2. Description provided of ongoing community outreach regarding master-planning vision for future uses of the site.

      3. Currently proposed design concepts include North-South Axis Plan and Stitch Plan. Both design schemes consider the inclusion of a stadium, an arena, or no anchor.

 

    1. Neighborhood Development Company Development at 3450 Eads St. NE, Michael Giulioni:

      1. Background on Neighborhood Development Company (NDC) provided.

      2. Purpose for presentation is to formally introduce the project to the community before filing the project with the Zoning Commission.

      3. Description of the current site provided.

      4. Previous presentations have been made to ANC7D and the River Terrace Community Organization. Contact has also been made with MPD 6D.

      5. Plans announced for NDC to host community meetings at River Terrace Education Campus over summer 2016. Plans for community notification will be coordinated with Commissioner McKay.

    2. Update on Kenilworth Redevelopment by Andre Gould and Vandana Sareen:

      1. Purpose of presence is to give an update and to request the 7D commission to take a vote of support for the proposal ahead of September 6th zoning commission hearing.

    3. Motion to hold Special Meeting for Kenilworth PUD in the month of August moved by Commissioner Hasan, carried unanimous.

 

  1. REPORTS/OLD BUSINESS:

    1. Motion to Table the Chairperson’s Report and the Transportation Committee Report moved by Commissioner Muhammad, carried unanimously.

    2. Treasurer’s Report read by Commissioner Muhammad:

      1. Motion to Authorize Payment of $162.00 to DC Access LLC for Commission Website Hosting moved by Commissioner Muhammad, carried unanimously.
