  1. Meeting called to order at 6:36 pm by Chairperson Muhammad.

  2. Commissioners Roll Call/ Establishment of a Quorum:

Quorum Present.


  1. Motion to adopt May General Meeting Minutes pending corrections moved by Secretary McKay, carried unanimously.



    1. Treasurers Report by Commissioner Lini:

      1. Current balance of $63,194 in ANC account.

      2. Motion to Authorize Expenditure of $162 to DC Access moved by Treasurer Lini, carried unanimously.

      3. Motion to Authorize Expenditure of $120.66 to Xerox moved by Treasurer Lini:

        1. Commissioner Hazel: We should get rid of copier if we do not have paper to use it.

        2. Chairperson Muhammad: We have yet not come to the logistical determination of how we will get supplies.

        3. Commissioner Hasan: Can we have this administrative discussion in the Executive Committee Meeting?

        4. Motion carried by majority vote: In favor- Commissioners Hasan, Coomber, McKay, Lini, and Muhammad; Opposed-Commissioner Hazel.


    1. Motion to table Letter of Support for “No Build” moved by Chairperson Muhammad, carried unanimously.


  1. Presentation: Mr. Mike Irons, VP of Land Development at K. Hovnanian Homes.

    1. Public presentation about development at Parkside Phase 2 included company history, site plans, development timeline, description of townhomes, explanation of public benefits, and schedule of delivery. Details are included in the enclosed slides provided by the presenters

    2. New curb cuts at the site were explained for the public. No letter of support for curb cuts is needed at this time.

    3. Information provided for an upcoming Strittmatter Metro jobfair.


  1. Community Comments:

    1. Mr. Frazier Walton, President of Kingman Park Civic Association aired grievance with Commissioner Coomber regarding communications with neighboring commissions and construction of a coping wall.

    2. Wendell Montague informed public of summer reading and summer lunch programs at DC public libraries.


  1. Special Announcement by Chairperson Muhammad: This is the last meeting before Commission 7D’s summer recess. We will reconvene the second Tuesday of September, 9-8-15. The featured presenter at September’s meeting will be Deputy Mayor Courtney Snowden.


  1. Motion to adjourn moved at by Chairperson Muhammad at 8:50 pm, carried by unanimous vote.
